MAGIC MOSAIC FLOOR 
2022 - 2025

A mosaic floor made from reused pebbles, remnants from the sculpting process. The mosaic panels that make up the floor are a collaborative work made through numerous workshops, incorporating various symbols collected during the research and development of the project related to nature, science, art and the cosmos.

A scientific intervention, a Solar Observatory calculated by astronomer Pencho Markishky, marks the passage of time on the floor. The hours, months, seasons and equinoxes reveal details of the floor as the sun’s rays glide across it. Among others a collection of leaves from trees and shrubs in the area collected together with botanist Mihaela Yordanova.

The magic floor serves multiple functions, providing a solid foundation for the space, while also being a source of knowledge and inspiration for future projects.
